Koschey the Deathless is a mithical character from slavic/russian folklore. He was an ancient, evil sorcerer that, in order to avoid dying, locked his own death in the tip of a needle, which he hide inside an egg, which was hidden inside a duck, hidden inside a hare, and put it inside an iron chest buried under the roots of an oak in the mithic island of Buyan.
